Estimate and concept disclaimer

Read this alongside anything we send you before a site visit. It explains exactly what our numbers and images mean — and what they do not.

Preliminary estimates are not final quotes

Any figure we provide from photos, video or a description is a preliminary estimate and estimated price range — an initial project assessment, subject to site inspection. It is not a final quote, not an offer, and not a binding price.

Every submission is reviewed by a person

A human renovation advisor reviews each request before we respond. We do not generate automated final quotes and nothing is sent to you without review.

What changes a range

Conditions behind walls, floors and ceilings; structural, plumbing and electrical realities; moisture or previous work not built to code; material availability and lead times; and scope decisions you make. This is why the final quote follows measurements and a site review.

Options are not guaranteed to be identical in number

Where a project genuinely supports alternatives, we present them — for example an Essential option and an Elevated option, and sometimes another approach such as phasing. Some projects only support one sensible route, and we will say so.

Concept visualizations

Concept visualizations are illustrative representations of possible renovation directions. They are not architectural drawings, engineering drawings, construction documents, permit submissions, or final material, colour or fixture specifications, and they are not a guaranteed representation of the completed project. Final design, dimensions, materials and feasibility require human review and site verification.

Pricing, tax and currency

All amounts are quoted in CAD and are subject to applicable taxes confirmed in the written quote unless stated otherwise. Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote.

Agreements and payment terms

Payment timing and construction milestones are confirmed in the signed project agreement. No fixed payment schedule is presented before the project scope is reviewed.

Permits and code

Where a project requires permits or inspections in Ottawa, Ontario, we identify that during the estimating process. Permit timelines are set by the authority having jurisdiction, not by us.
